Poetry Scholarships

I was recently informed by an American friend of the existence of scholarships awarded to those with a sufficiently ardent interest in poetry. They all seem to be operative in America, lamentably enough, and I cannot find one applicable to Ireland, where I am situated. Before this morning, I had been wholly ignorant of the existence of such scholarships. Does anyone know of these being awarded in Ireland? Please provide a link if possible.

I live in Ireland myself. Sorry to say I've never heard of a poetry scholarship being awarded to anyone, and i doubt one exists. Ireland is pitiable when it comes to scholarships compared with America, and the unfortunate reality is that the 'fine' arts, especially poetry, aren't respected enough to garner attention from would-be sources of cash.
