Far outback in deepest Sum
When the forest is tinder dry
So hot it really starts to hum
Wasp stings spider, lizard zaps fly

Wallaby hops over wombat
Disrupted by dancing kangaroo
Tiny bilby wrestles with numbat
Scattered by prancing legs of emu

Marsupials swarm to billabongs
An echidna cakes itself in mud
Rare to hear mad magpiesongs
As the plovers flock to blood

Quiquid Quinkana and Ding Diprotodon
Try preserve some for theirself
But carry on their carrion carry-on
Oblivious to the intruders' stealth

The remains of a critter caught
Between a Bunyip and a Yowie
'Get off me land what I fair bought!'
'What? When? Gadzooks and Zowie!'

The Bunyip punched him so hard
It knocked Yabarak off his feet
A revenge kick to the tub of lard
Signalled Biloela should retreat

He emitted some piercing wails
Glowed red and blue and grunted
As the Yowie buffed his nails
The Bunyip staggered and shunted

In a bid to keep his distance
Prepares by sharpening his horns
And adopts a conqueror's stance
While Yabarak he merely yawns

Ready Biloela isn't, so submerges
And breathes deep the tepid liquid
Refreshed eventually he re-emerges
And calls out to his friend Quiquid

'Get behind him and on my word
We will knock Yabarak asunder
Together we shall topple the turd!'
Next comes a rumble as of thunder

The ground it trembles and does shake
And boulders roll in avalanche
World vibrates like an earthquake
But Yabarak blinks carte blanche

He picks some ticks from off his tail
The Bunyip tingles in his lumps
While the Yowie polishes its scale
Closer ever closer Biloela jumps

And lurches and bounds and leaps
He pictures it in his imagination bold
An historical victory he reaps
One hard blow will knock him cold

Of his success he can ascertain
Except Yabarak is far too quick
And as critical moment gain
Turns to deliver withering kick

So the Quinkana is sent aflying
On Yabarak's neck the Bunyip's spray
Biloela is burbling, sweet crying
The Yowie ducks low out of the way

So the slimy one's momentum build
Sends himself hurling past
Gathered speed means he cannot yield
And continues bounding fast

Toward the cliff that nature crumbled
Desperately tried to slow and stop
But too late - over ledge he tumbled
And so with accidental leaping hop

Biloela bawls as drops to his demise
Of this fact he is nought but certain
Watery departure as the tides rise
Guess again - it's not the final curtain

Only winded when he hit the wave
His portly body let him float
Away on the current, no wet grave
Buoyant he was, as a boat

Drifts to an island in the North Pacific
A place of cold and wind and snow
A place covered in ice to be specific
'Where am I?' blubs the bleary fellow

'What channels have brought me here?
So far from home and freezing cold
Oh deary me, oh dear, such drear
To re-adapt I fear I am far too old'

But a pod of walruses happen by
And a curious coincidence shown
Smell and sound so similar to Biloela
They adopt him as one of their own

As for Yabarak he married Ding
An interspecial union sure to be
The Diprotodons said not a thing
Because no-one questions a Yowie
