Marigolds Of Purple
~
Marigolds of purple blew in the air;
Even the chapels bells of St. Mary's
Hushed silent
At the spectacular affair.
With course ways of lemon flowers;
Even they wouldn't dare
Flutter in the wind,
As to upstage this fetching flame of beauty
Winding her way through.
She had a cornflower hat
That a nightingale would sing to,
And all would swear
None more lovely;
As her fleeting down the course way
In the heavenly air.
