Hi all you book lovers out there. Hopefully I will take to this forum like a fish to water, in as much as I am now the author of three self published books with another on the way. If anyone has any tips on how to cross the chasm between self-published and published, I would be eager to hear. Also does anyone know if it's okay for me to upload pdf files of my books to this site in order for all and sundry to digest at their pleasures? These questions and many more await you with my hopefully fruitful membership to this site. So please feel free and get typing! Yours John Robinson. :-)

Well done on self publishing . May I ask what your books are about?

Hi John and welcome to the forum, I am sure you'll find your spin in no time (I know I have :)). So cool that you've got three books out there, I hope you'll find a way to get them published by a publishing company soon!

I don't know wether it is possible to upload your books to the site but if you would enlighten me as to what your books are about maybe I will find myself tempted to read one :).

Hi cacian and Ricmisc, my books are in all and truth be told a stream of consciousness. I am sorry if that doesn't sound very inspiring but there you have it. OK well that's not strictly true, the first one (Jojo's Amazing Adventure) is actually a collection of short stories, inspired by Far Eastern and Middle Eastern tales. Then the next book A Patient in Time, is diving in at the deep end, and is a spluge of internet adventures, ficticious fallacies and other personal writings. Then the third book, Fighting Madness, is like a swimming, thrusting his head above the waves for air, gasping, before plunging it back down once again to see where ever it is the river or sea may take him (or her). That's a rather poetic way of saying I hope you as the readers are able to get some good things out of sticking with and reading to, my books. And without any more of an introduction here is the new edition of my last book Fighting Madness, available as a free pdf download. Let me know how it goes thanks!http://mir.cr/EZD1AMGW

Inspired by the long-running manga JoJo's Bizarre Adventure?

Delta40, the bulk of my work is known as stream of conciousness writing. In that it is written largely from a first person perspective. It is largely that, but there are also some stories in there based around my chief protagonist Jojo/Joe. Who is both inspired by me and my dreams. So there are a few poems and stories in there, but a lot of other stuff as well.

And Calidore, no the resemblance to the Manga is by name only. I actually think my book which was a project predating this millenium in terms of it's original scope, actually pipped the Manga to the post in terms of who came up with the name first. But no-one is fighting over that. At least I'm certainly not. That book should be released soon, as soon as I can conjur up the money for the publishing costs. Bearing in mind that I have a summer holiday to my African wife to pay for right now. Stay tuned for the latest on this matter ok?
