Today is ANZAC Day http://www.awm.gov.au/commemoration/anzac/. It's a national holiday so alot of people cheer just because they get a day off work but all over the country there will be parades and thousands of people will be on the sidelines to wave their flags and comemmorate soldiers who have fought for their country in each war since WWI.
I'm going to the war memorial today with a friend to visit her father who would have been 90 years old today and lay fresh cut rosemary on the graves of young men and women who gave their lives for our country. I don't agree with war but I won't disrespect the great sacrifice they made.

the second clip was put together by a canadian student which was very moving.
