Shiny Stone
Shiny stone
Without honor you lay in the ground,
Waiting for discovery of you at last.
And what of you does one find,
Of you that eyes say divine?
In the millionth hour
You are set free.
Cased in gold,
You stand to behold.
And the thousandth smile you endure,
And the shine you demure;
Against the sky
That is your flaw,
That last for evermore.
The Fool On The Hill
Day after day
He sits on a hill
Hands outstretched
To heaven
To come see him
The world that sees him
Thinks they see a fool
They don't understand
The birds on the branch
Sing him a tune
His head in a cloud
What he sees
No one else found
But the rain in the clouds
Found him perfect sound
He lives in harmony
With his world all around
With their eyes in their head
Only turmoil in their dread
But the fool looks ahead
The world sees him not
Thinks they see a fool
What they don't understand
The birds on a branch
Sing him a tune.
