Without a detector, we may not see
This earth's well-hidden value.
A compass, a map, advice given free
From an altruistic friend, who
May have been there before,
And stumbled around,
And fallen into the forge.
Sand to diamond ground,
Perhaps a pearl found,
Perhaps information stored,
Where we may read
Of ancient creed,
And wonder how it was missed.
Maybe waves hid the sea,
Since, within you and me
And a book from history's mist,
Points us the way
To the truth, and life,
Or, at least, may give us the gist.
