Can I go now?

I think you mean 'May I go now?'

No - I'm fairly sure I was only asking about me

May you go now?

That's the question...

Well you could, but there's still the small matter, though
it might be a big matter...

Which is which..?

The matter of the Bow and Arrow stuck in your head

Ah - that matter! Yes I recall you mentioning something
Is it that obvious?

Quite obvious, and quite distinct also

Hmm - when you say 'Bow and Arrow' - you don't
mean just 'Arrow'? A lot of people say both when
what they mean is one or the other

What people?

I don't know - people in general, as an easy identifier -
though then as now it usually causes confusion

No, I mean both a Bow and an Arrow. Stuck in your head-

So you say. Any idea how they got there?

-From earhole to earhole. Pardon? No, no idea, sorry

Painful to remove?

Probably to your wallet more than your head

Was that a joke? I have a Bow and Arrow stuck in my head
and you're making bad jokes???

Yes, I mean, it's a lot more serious for you clearly, but for
me it's just another day at the office. I see cases like this
all the time, usually worse

Worse? How so?

Client confidentiality I'm afraid, but if you can imagine it
it probably happened, and I've probably fixed it

Ouch!

Yee-ow!

Yee-ow?

You're right - Ouch!

And amongst these incidents, are many disfiguring,
painful, inconvenient, and/or fatal?

A few of each

Headache inducing?

Why do you ask?

Because I'm getting one

Unrelated to your Bow and Arrow in the head fiasco?

Distinct from that, yes

Hmmm

Hmmm what?

Well I must admit head problems are neither my specialty
nor my favorite, just my bread and butter work

Meaning?

They pay the bills

And my headache?

What about it?

Any medicine you happen to have would be appreciated

Like an aspirin?

Sure - for starters - anything stronger?

There are a few things that I wouldn't recommend, but
the Gas is a hoot - I often have some at lunch

Sounds good - fill me up!

Are you positive? You won't remember anything after

Fine by me - I'd like to forget this

No worries

Can I go now?

lol. Witty piece of dialogue. I wouldn't go to that doctor! A bow and arrow in your head? Sounds like cupid backfired on himself. More a short story than anything but I always enjoy reading your stuff MM.

Thanks Delta :)

Not sure where it belongs really - I just woke up and it wrote itself. Didn't expect it to be quite so long. Simple words though...

I love it when I have a 'I just woke up and it wrote itself experience' Actually, that's usually when I do most of my writing - in the morning but lately I've been jotting stuff down in my journal then harvesting it together and posting in the evening and I have found that works too.

Harvesting it together sounds interesting :) like fresh wholemeal bread

And eggs

And bacon

And fruice

Breakfast time!

Too late!

Had some tomato and capsicum into the nix too. And a couple of Vitamin B's too ;)

Juice was orange-mango, and curiously now I feel like a coffee, which is unusual for me at this time of the morning - and on a Sunday!
