Unfold me
like a deck chair
while the traffic
pours out of my mind.
No longer do you lurk
between pretzels and pretense
or muffins and coffee.
On the verandah
where the afternoon sun
bakes a half chewed mouse,
an imaginary you laughs
insanely by my side.
i was listening to an ethereal dream song when i read this, which matched the possessed distraction of your subject. reading again, i realized that he/she was probably snacking on mice instead of muffins. is the traffic a reference to watching traffic from the veranda?

wow I wonder what the song was! I was referring to internal traffic. I like the way you read the poem the way you did because it is about being distracted :out:
it was some andreas vollenweider song on slacker. yes, i read it internal traffic, but thought perhaps, since it poured out, it had an object.

Well I just listened to Caverna Magica. Pretty surreal stuff.
