I'm pleased to have found this forum! Sometimes I feel trapped in my day to day world where few of my friends/family share any of my interests in literature. I never had a good outlet to express my love of the written word until now. I look forward to reading everybody's views and sharing my own.
As for me, I'm a 20 year old Australian who goes by the name of Stephen (my last name starts with M- hence SM, definitely not sadomasochistic as some like to say!), with a passion for literature and languages (amongst many other things!).
I'm currently reading "Report to Greco" by my favourite modern Greek author, Nikos Kazantzakis (in translation, however). My picture is that of the Troubadours, the creators of "courtly love" and the people who have inspired me to learn Occitan, a langue d'oc spoken in the south of France.
I look forward to using this forum on a regular basis, and getting aquainted with many different views!
