This is the reason why lots of excellent poets are starving and committing suicide. They are not taken seriously because of some who bastardize the beautiful language of poetry and posit the idea that poetry is bull****.

Even abstract painters paint beautiful images. They use colors and draw forms that are appreciable and meaningful. They create beauty and meaning. Why do some writers shy from that same endeavor of creation? Can't text compose beauty and meaning?
