View Full Version : Where'd Emil Miller Go?

Something just occurred to me--one of our long-time users has seemed to have vanished. Just to make sure, I looked up Emil's posts and I was right, he hasn't posted in over a month. Does anyone know why he quit, and quite suddenly at that? Usually posters will gradually quit posting, but he went from being active to not posting at all in a day. I hope asking in a thread doesn't breach a rule--he hasn't been banned, so I must conclude he left on his own decision.

Just curious. As much as I usually disagreed with him, he could always generate could discussions.

I have seen a post the other day- he was criticizing Harry Potter, :cryin: but I forget what thread, I did post back. Unless it was an old post, but I don't think so.

Maybe he can be smoked out by talk of the virtues of socialism and multiculturalism.

And a search of his posts showed that the last time he posted was February 29th.

Hmmm, I think I will pay him a visit

Given Emil’s affinity for the look of cauliflower, I’d wager he’s soaking up the rays somewhere on the French Riviera, reading Moon and Sixpence, sipping on Cotes de Provence while watching the “heavy’s” pound the sand on cellulite beach.

He was usually on a lot, too. But I bet Gilliatt's right. He's probably somewhere enjoying the finer things of life immensely.

Honestly, after thinking about it, it doesn't surprised me if he's just decided not to visit anymore. The boards have become incredibly dull; it seems anything remotely fun gets closed down or incurs infraction points.

He has been on here to visit, only hasn't posted... That is if my eyes still served me right late last night as I went to investigate...

Be careful with your criticism, though, you want infraction points?:mad2:

Meh, better that than the unruly kind of behaviour that goes on in other places and under the very nose of the 'moderator'.

Something is nagging me that I have kind of missed some irony in that post... Ah, what the heck, in that case I'll just go down into the annals of this forum as the most clueless when it comes to humour...

Well he seems the type to get bored a lot, but I am certain he will be back. Once the boards become a bit less dull.. I've found them kind of dull as well, as of late.

Maybe he's just busy with real life...

gasp! impossible!

there is no life outside of the interwebs .....:frown2:

The online/real life distinction is stupid. The internet is real and its part of most person's lives. There's gotta be a better word. I'll think of one after I down a cup of coffee.

I argued with Emil in a thread right before he left. I don't think I was too harsh so I don't think that was it. He is probably, like Bien said, just simply busy or something.

I know that I've been preoccupied with family drama to post more than just a line or two here and there.

I'm glad he's gone.

...Just sayin'.

The board is losing testosterone fast. I shall stick around to protect the womenfolk and youngins.

Since everyone expressed their views and feelings openly on Emil's absence

and

Tony had assured us that he will do his darndest to keep up the testosterone levels on the Forum,

this thread will now be closed.

Thank you, everyone.
