I used to post under poetry and short story. It was a long absence, indeed. I thought I could force myself not to write ever again. I was wrong. It seems I was born to endure this saddest thing-- writing about the sadness of others.

Welcome back Miyako
Your post reminded me of the saying by Horace Walpole, "The world is a comedy to those that think, a tragedy to those that feel."
Best regards

Thanks, M. The unfortunate thing is that one cannot think about something without feeling it first. I just cannot think and write about snakes.

I thought the name seemed familiar. Welcome back Miyako. Perhaps your perspective will change at some point and you will not view it as something to endure so much as a gift to the world.

With me its the experience first, then the feeling, then the analysis, then the writing. I've reached the stage of focusing on the very "nowness" of everything, as if time were running out.
My God, it's sounding a bit morbid, for this time in the morning! Sun's not even up yet.
Take care.
M.
