From the shop she rode with a full knapsack
Groceries overflowing when she heard a crack
It was a broken strap and with one deft move
Saved that side but what was she then to do
When a further crack informed her that next
The other strap had sprung - unfazed unvexed
She grasped that one too - but how to steer?
Quite startled when the answer became clear
No-one to do it so the wheel wrapped around
The bike hit the gutter and she came to ground
Safe were the groceries, her head, and her legs
Broke were both arms - but saved were the eggs!
