it was the short story "Endicot's Cross" or something with "Endicot" (a guy) that Hawthorne's followers think is the begginings. <br> Any ideas out there whether the manuscript was real or not. I think it was simply because the man integrates the idea of his story being a manuscript so well into his story. Like with Pearl in the forest, and with the limeted narrator.
