Am I supposed to not trust no other human being? Not even if they take care of me since I was born? I ask anyone who thinks they can answer... explain this...
"True Wisdom
Thus says the Lord:
Cursed is the man who trusts in human beings,..."
This was in Chapter 17, of Jeremiah 18,...

It's actually Jeremiah 17:5, and that's not even the whole verse. It reads (KJV) "Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. "
In other words, trusting only in man and the strength of the flesh, to the exclusion of God.

It's sad when someone tries to tear apart the Bible by so blatantly obscuring what it says - this is why people who question the Bible are so heavily criticized.

Well trust is something that seems to be always up in the Bible.
Mistrust and doubt is all over the place.
I mean there is not one story in the bible were killing/mistrust/sinning/doubting( Doubting Thomas)is not mentioned.
It practically makes the stories.
This is no different in my opinion.
Cursing is another one which makes me cross reference with 'the curse of cassandra' mythology.

That double negative in your first sentence needs to be looked at... I think.

I wasn't exactly questioning it... thats why i said "explain this"... and i was unsure of what the other part of the verse meant, and sorry if the bologna thing is what threw some people into thinking im defacing god and the bible...in all truth i was eating a bologna sandwhich at the moment i was thumbing through my bible... XD
AND TO CALIDORE:
Thank You for the explanation it cleared up what i was wondering about it... I was unsure of what the rest of the verse meant which is probably why at the moment i didn't type it...but if your quote is exact then we have differant types of bibles... ( i dont tink i have the king james version)... but thank you for the explanation...it really helped :)
