Well one thing i noticed was his reference to sickness on the island. I didn't really know why he refered to it and it seemed out of place, other then just a way to describe the injuries and malnutrition. But then reading more into the life of Stevenson i realized that during his life time he was plagued with many illness and ailments that could have very easily effecty his writing. The poor man was seemingly always sick, and honestly, if that was happening to me, i'd (either consciously or subconsciously) put that idea or topic in my book.
