For this one...sometimes I felt like it could be two separate books.
It definitely played off on how much Katniss really is flawed, just like a normal human being. It also shows times of where you can be reminded that she's only a teenage girl, even though the book plays her off to be much older.
One thing I really liked is that, due to certain circumstances, Katniss finally realizes how much she would take advantage of certain people, and now finally sees how important they were to her now and how unfair she had been.
What I didn't like is how much Suzanne Collins laid on the romance when there was so much more going on than just that. But it's still a young adult book, so it would be expected.
Most people say they hate how it turned out, but I liked it. Things aren't supposed to be a happy ever after with all of the events that happened and the damage that was done to these characters. They're bound to be emotionally scarred, and if they weren't it would not be realistic.
Sometimes I feel that the epilogue wasn't exactly necessary, or at least have made it in more the near future, and that it would be better for the reader to come up with how they figured it would end up in the late future.
