Hummin' in eerie sympathy with the fluro
Luminescent Mould on the plastic bread
Glowin' and buzzin' they's about to pop
Me guts turns and spinnin' goes me head

Too late I realise and gets it on me hands
Transfers to trousers and the tip of me nose
What is this sickly saccharine pongy reek?
It's makin' me convulse with death throes!

I races into the shower to wash it off
But sees it on the soap also the walls
Bright green and blue not in a nice way
I's gettin' sicker and promptly I falls

It's reaction to water is somethin' else
Hissin' and steamin' and splutterin' away
A blood curdlin' scream it suddenly emits
I crawls out the house to exit the fray

But out in the world it's taken hold
On roofs and gutters on cars and cats
Up driveways and sheds in birds baths
Over lawns on washing and welcome mats

There's wailin' and tears over the district
As the folks realise we is bein' overtook
By an ugly fungus from somewhere other
There's only one answer - Chiblius Chook!

Chiblius Chook the Space Rooster appears
In a quest to save Earth from a nasty spore
A mouldy mildew glowing weirdly turquoise
To eradicate and exterminate is Chiblius' chore

It won't be easy perhaps actually difficult
To mop this bearded slime up, send it packin'
Like he done on the other planet before here
In his lab he developed a method of stackin'

Containers of concentrate to repel the fungus
Mix it with gravy add some powdered milk
Dilute it with seawater and a dash of diesel
It will extinguish it and others of similar ilk

Will there be drawbacks and side-effects
But of course - it's warfare on a slimy scale
All he needs is a fleet of firetrucks to pump
And spray the stuff over hill and down dale

The business itself is unfortunately sticky
It'll hang around well after the next rains
But eventually it'll break down and thin out
And slowly wash down the storm drains

Apparently plankton find it rather tasty
Though who's asked them I couldn't guess
But it doesn't matter they'll eat the residue
And Earth will be safe from one scourge less

Chiblius returns from whence he appeared
Earthlings in song will remember the day
That he came to clean up the mildewy mess
And on his space skateboard rode away

Everything you post is well worth reading, but your humorous ones are especially inventive.

Only one quibble--in the first one, you mean the other "its" (possessive):
"Its reaction. . ."
