Twisted Whims
Thrown to the wall
Smashing resistance
To pieces of shattered hope
Gleeful pleasure forms
A fist of eager judgment

It comes crashing down
On paper thin walls
Broken in seconds
They splinter
Like the stalk
Of a crumpled daisy stem

Lips open wide
Soundless hunger
To be heard
In the silent pitch
Of a clenched spine

Alien veins
Stretched over transparent
Clingfilm tapestries
Exposed blue and purple roses
Begin to bloom
On innocent canvas
Covering those yellowing
Sunflowers..

I liked the combination of detailed colours and violent emotion rolled into one in this poem. Particularly the second and third stanza.
