For my poetry project I am analyzing the poem "The Clarinettist" by Ruth Fainlight:

"Pale round arms raising her clarinet
at the exact angle, she sways, then halts
poised for the music

like a horse that gathers itself up for the leap
with the awkward, perfect, only
possible movement

an alto in a quattrocento chorus, blond head
lifted from the score, open-mouthed
for hallelujah

a cherub on a ceiling cornice leaning out
from heaped up clouds of opalescent pink, translucent blue

a swimmer breasting frothy surf like ripping through
lace curtains, a dancer centered as a spinning top,
an August moon

alone, in front of the orchestra, the conductor's
other, and unackknowledged opposite,
she starts the tune.

So basically in my video i have to use whatever method i want to illustrate the purpose of the poem. The theme is building anticipation or whatever as the clarinetist prepares to begin her tone, and its made really effective by the author's choice to make the poem one long sentence and using lots of vivid metaphors and stuff. does anyone have creative ideas of how I could portray this? or any further analysis? I wanted to use some youtube clips in it of like a horse preparing to jump over a hurdle at one point to demonstrate the second stanza, but i couldnt figure out how to convert youtube clips into windows movie maker. all help will be much appreciated!! thank you!!

Well, what you shouldn't do is find a programme like FreeYouTubeDownloader that allows you to download YouTube videos as AVIs, which can then be used in Windows Movie maker.....don't do this, it is potentially unethical.

You left out a word: don't do this, if it is potentially unethical. I believe that using just a few-second clip of a copyrighted work for noncommercial purposes is fine under fair-use.

Though frankly, downloading, clipping, converting, and rejoining parts from Youtube videos seems like a whole lot of unnecessary work, when you can much more easily assemble stock photos into a slideshow using PowerPoint or the OpenOffice/LibreOffice equivalent.
