~At The Lake Villa~
It sounded like a good idea,
A group of us
Four couples and a guide,
We'd get off the beaten path
To an out of the way villa,
Deep in the countryside
Away from civilization
Then rejoin in a few days.
But we we're wrong,
For those who are left
Are too scared to speak.
But so this report is written
I speak of the horrid tale
At the lake villa.
The story begun
As we were awoken in the mid of night
With a strange sound;
As the first screams began
We saw red eyes closing in
From every door.
Then we heard creaking from the wooden floor
Open from below,
We tried to get out
But we had nowhere to go
They were around everywhere.
We crumpled and huddled in the corner,
Out in the darkness we saw their eyes,
Blood thirsty eyes
Looking for more victims,
We watched in terror
As these evil spirits dragged six of us to their pit
Into that wretched basement;
They were laughing from an unimaginable hollowness
A blackness no light could penetrate
Under the staircase in the basement
A secret hole in the ground.
So that's all we know,
The six unaccounted for
Were dragged in there,
To where we don't know.
The three of us huddled in silence
As the terror unfolded,
Somehow we got away
Then made a run for it.
And so I write my tale
In memory of those souls in prose.
~Blue Morning~
And what's left
But mourning
On this celestial blue morning,
As a fading steel gray moon
Hovered over the covered sun.
But the souls of last night
Were not to see
Today's carpet of green,
Hiding the truth
Of what we saw
That Paralyzed our senses.
We are no longer safe in sleep
Hearing the wolf that reigned
Echoing over the hills,
As the sun began to fade
Into that frayed evening.
We huddled
From a night of terror
In our a place of hiding,
Sitting still
Hoping they would not find us;
But we who saw know better
Remain to this day tormented.
