Tea

If we had tea would you look me in the eyes?
If you looked in my eyes would you tell me what you see?

Would you run if you saw all of me?

I never knew so much could happen over tea. It's kind of like, if I show you who I really am will you still love?

I think the structure of the poem is interesting. It certainly makes for an engaging reading as far as this kind of conversational poem (although one sided by the questions). The voicing of the content is very vulnerable and that's what gave it some interest to me. I like these sort of poems.

The sort of thing makes one think about who can you really trust. Is the person worth taking a chance on in hopes of not being hurt again. Moving and lovely in the expression of one's vulnerability. And if this is a reflection of life, may luck find you!
