The lesson learned
There once was a simple but kind traveler who met a beautiful girl with a personality as unique and bright that rivaled even the brightest star in the night sky, Sirius seems but only a pittance by her side. This traveler being simple minded did not at first appreciate this lovely girl, for he is simple with words and in thought. Although, she caught his eye, he only said “hi” and completed his task and said “good bye”.
The kind traveler continued his travels with the lingering feeling of “there is something about that girl” never evading his conscience. Time passed and they crossed paths again and conversed happily, and like a sudden flash of bright light the traveler realized for the first time what was hidden in this girl and vowed to at the very least let her know.
Seizing the only opportunity the traveler had as the breath of rain was filling the air, the traveler made his mind to let her know, with a sudden prose of a few words, just as the tall tale signs of a tap-a-thump thump were felt as the sound of rain drops filled the night sky, and she replies “maybe” while rushing to escape the ensuing downpour.
Time continues to pass and the girl eventually explains her dilemma, unsure of what to think the traveler resolves to let her know that he respects her and her honesty and would not want to push her away. The traveler learned a lesson that day, to not let opportunity slip by, but most importantly, that respect and honesty are the binder of all.
Taking a chance is like taking a leap of faith, you never will know what awaits you, but there is a chance of something incredibly great awaiting you. The only certainty in this world is not taking a chance, for if there is no opportunity given, there is none had. The kind traveler rises from harmonious thought and delivers the message of the lesson learned.
