Well all I can really say is that Pride and Prejudice is a joy to read. I was forced to read it because of school. It was much more interesting than I would have ever expected. At first though I didn't really like it but then when i read it the second time it was really engaging. The characters are well set out and I can picture each one clearly in my head. The plot is rather simplistic but the language used is wonderful.

It's not really what will happen between Elizabeth and Darcy because most of us already know at the start what will happen. The interesting part is how it happens. The change in attitude of both the main characters are so subtle that it is barely recognizable.

After reading the book, I went and saw the movie. The movie followed the book very closely and was also very interesting to watch. Jennifer Ehle does a wonderful job in her portrayal of Elizabeth Bennet while Colin Firth is just wow! He is definitely a very talented actor that portrayed the rather underwritten role of Mr. Darcy in the film really well. My favourite scene would probably be when he meets Elizabeth at Pemberley and is surprised. Although the wet shirt was not in the book, I thought it was a nice added touch to the movie.
