Faltering Footsteps

Faltering footsteps shall forever lead my way. And whatever I become, be it a king or a stray, I shall follow the footsteps until my dying day. For what are we humans if not foolish, has history taught us nothing?Is our past just all rubbish? So I shut it all out and step blindly out, for what are we humans, if not filled with doubt? To these words I'll remain loyal, 'til my life find its end. And I know in my heart, with not a doubt in my mind, that Faltering Footsteps my life shall mend.

I like this piece. It has many thoughts interspersed within that I often dabble upon. It's very playful, with just a hint of sorrow, and the rhyme is pointed. :) Thanks for sharing!
