I made sense out of it.

I think the worse sort of poetry, when it comes to communicating something, is that which seems to make sense on the surface but when you start thinking about it actually doesn't make much sense at all. You are stuck then wondering if you really don't get it or whether there was nothing worth getting at all.

If this poetry becomes linked with a poet who's name is an academic commodity, the nonsense becomes even more vicious.
