While The Groundhog Slept
While the groundhog slept
The idiots hatched a plan
To wake up said groundhog
And grab him by the hand
It was February 2nd
Not a cloud in the sky
But that didn't stop the fools
From stopping on by
You don't have to be a genius
To know what happened next
The men with strange top hats
And to their unwilling groundhog guest
Yet Punxsutawney Phil would outsmart them all
This Punxsutawney Phil was no doe doe
He heard all the early commotion
And got the hell out of his hole.

Oh bright brilliant star in the sky
Hides what words I can't say,
Magnificence can not be described
Seeing you in such gloriest array.
In the vast deep, small our life
Cloaking the mind, which never see's:
The hand of brilliance which is behind
Eyes that can't see; the heart believes.
