Tearing sound from outside
A linen sheet being shred?
In fact a different fabric
Of Space-Time Continuum
Ripped asunder, as under
Bright ball of lightning blue
Spinning around like crazy
Hurtling toward the cave
It stops and next implodes
Earth shattering Kaboom!
The remaining the glimmer
With utraviolet filaments
Sparking sparkling arcs
A black sun in miniature
I trip down into its crater
And land next to the egg
Pocked in eldritch etchings
Like some alien Faberge
And reeking rotten pong
Suddenly it cracks open
And out springs a device
Bouncing and dancing wild
Increasing its own energy
I try to touch it - SHOCK!
An invisible field of force
A sort of anti-magnetism
Repelling all my attempts
As abrupt as it appeared
It vanishes with a flash!
Silent purple explosion
An ion pop
Gone!
