yes it's a beautiful book, but hopefully she wrote it for a love of her subject matter rather than personal vanity...good luck to you, however

Keep writing and dreaming. Above all, never give up on the classics. Have you ever read the Bronte's? They are as wonderful as Jane though in a different way. I, too, am an aspiring writer. Never give up on your writing!

To all of you people who sit there wasting your time writing horrible, pointless remarks about 'Pride and Prejudice' being boring, would you please get...a...life!!! You have no idea of Jane's superb use of language, structure and grammar that would have put her in a class of her own had she received the recognition she deserved. She is a truly great writer, one whom I immensely respect and look up to. Hopefully, I will be the next Jane Austen, a writer who can truly captivate her audience through the use of sophisticated, well thought out language and themes. I really admire you Jane Austen. Oh, and when studying Austen, please remember to always keep an open mind and heart and the words will just flow. Good luck!!!

you're so right. i have the same opinion as you have abuot jane austen's work. keep thinking like that!
