Hey Internet Peoples,

Today I had a sudden urge to write so I did. This is my first conscience attempt at writting anything. So please be kind, but I want your honest opinion. Also this is my first post here. How man more firsts can I have? Any way here it is:

The Parting

Imagine a morning when your sun never rises, your birds never sing and your alarm clock never goes off. You rise from your nights sleep to see emptiness. Deep, dark, profound emptiness.
Emptiness is consuming. It pulls and draws you nearer. Closer to the infinite, you can feel yourself move on ethereal waves through the hollow, encompassing darkness. No sense of direction, or destination. Time loses you as you begin to lose yourself.
You feel your mind and body begin to drift apart. Both becoming numb without the other. As the separation completes your conscience is suddenly thrust into a new existence.
Tight, confined, painful and full of feeling. Not your feelings, smaller, newer. You push back against your new reality and it moves. Not much but it moves, you feel familiar. The human power to effect your surroundings brings you comfort. It’s then you notice.
Through all of the new, comes another familiar sensation. Light. Light, warm and caring. Missed for so long, now embracing you through a crimson sheath.
As the light bathes you it penetrates. Seeping deep into the recesses of your being. Searching for all the that was and washing it away. Freeing you from the burden of remembering, the burden of knowing.
Before your last remnants are stripped away, fear grabs you. Your not ready, you fight to hang on. But the light is strong, it pulls gently but firmly. As you near the end the answer strikes you. To fight is futile. To cheat is human.
Letting go is easy thinking you’ve won. Leaving behind just enough of yourself to exist without being noticed. Letting go is so easy…
