Hi, I'm Plex.
As you can see (if you're curious enough to look at my profile!) I actually registered a couple of years ago, but didn't formally introduce myself before losing all desire to write and disappearing! I thought I should give this another go.
I'm 21, live in Australia, and thoroughly enjoy writing...on the rare occasions that I do. I suffer almost continual writer's block, and once in a blue moon I'll stay up 'til the wee smalls, drinking too much coffee and spitting out a story, before blocking up again for another few months.
I primarily write fan fiction these days, but I do write original stories and poetry. I'm allergic to plot, so my stories tend to be lacking in structure, and they end pretty abruptly. When I write, I never worry about where we are, or how we got here, I just spin out the moment! This may be why I'll never get published :P
I'm pretty picky in my reading. I don't generally read other people's fanfic, because literary standards in the fanfic world are quite different, and I don't really care for them. I always enjoy a good short story, and I love reading other people's poetry. I like to read things that are inconclusive, a little vague, and leave me unsure of the point, but with a feeling that the work was somehow important. I'm a huge Jeanette Winterson fan.
I did post a poem of my own when I registered initially (which I think I'll bump, because I never did get any feedback on that), but my own work will probably be pretty rare. I'm an active reviewer, however!
So, I'm looking forward to meeting everyone, and hopefully staying this time!
