Lost Friend

I don't remember when,
We became so called friends.
Few months back on this day
We met each other on our way.
Since then,
We felt to be friends
I still remember you sat next to me,
Unknown to each other were we
We asked each others' names
And both replied
We became friends
And I found you always
Whenever I smiled or cried.
We helped each other a lot
On silly matters too we fought.
But I never forgot you nor you forgot me,
Our friendship was as strong as it could be!!
Years passed by
But I dont know why?
A thing so unfortunate,
Occured at our school gate
A terrible accident
Was faced by a student
You ran to save his life risking your own
The kid was saved
But you were knocked down.
We wished for you to recover
But alas by then it was all over.
A tear rolled down my eye
And I felt someone whispering,
"Girl don't cry, don't cry!"
Till now my eyes flood with tear
To remember I lost my peer.
I saw no more of you neither you saw me
But still I swear,
Our friendship will remain as strong as it could be!!
