Hello everybody! Lately most that I have been doing in my free time is searching for suitable bachelor level degree programs in English all over the world. There are so many websites that claim to guide you with your study destination but even after having spent endless hours trying to comprehend the application procedures for various countries there appears to be little that fills my criteria (and if something is according to my criteria, I just don't appear to fit that criteria :p).
And please no UK, US, Australia or Canada for me. They are all very popular study destinations for people of my country but really they are all 1. too expensive for me (yes, I can apply for financial aid in US but it appears to be a complicated business plus living costs are high and the aid isn't going to cover that anyway. And since I am not going to study anything related to science/technology I don't think all the investment would be worth the outcome). 2. I would prefer somewhere in Europe because my brother is there and due to the ease of traveling within. One more thing; preferably no private universities either. Only the state-funded ones.
Thank you for taking the time to read all this. Been rather annoyed because I got to find some institutes of interest out there in Finland only to discover I can't submit all the required documents by the deadline (yeah I have to appear for some darned English language proficiency test which shall have its results declared not before late March while the deadline is late Feb and the universities wouldn't listen). And it just stuck me right now litnetters being from different cultures and locations might be able to help. And yes, I am a non-EU student hence all the bleeding tuition fees in UK and elsewhere in Europe. Can't afford anything above maximum 5000 Euros (fees) per year.
Any suggestions (university or location or anything) would be welcomed! I hope the thread could help me and others like me who wish to experience a different culture in order to learn and grow.
