Hi All,

I'm not familiar with old english and wanted to know if the word "tis" is used correctly in the following statement:

"Why would you want to see that individual upset, I thought you felt bad for his life that tis a tragedy."

Thanks

"'Tis" is not Old English. It is a Modern English contraction for "it is", and is still in use in soe places. It can be used any where one might use "it's". Therefore, it is used correctly, but you neglected the apostrophe.

I'd say that example sounds odd. It also looks odd.
