Gee, Jack, I'm no technie, (although geekish, I'm sure),but did you ever think of getting into the habit of "saving" your work on a flash drive, a CD, or an old-fashioned "floppy"? Just asking.

A lot of the work only exists in physical form and gets... destructed.

It's what I get when I drink too much. The suggestions that I should save my work on it always baffled me, too.

(Seriously now, man. This is 2012. Even Sheridan Le Fanu would have some sort of digital back-up :) )
