Hi,
I hate introductions, so I keep it short: I'm a guy from the Netherlands and I like literature and writing. Done. Hehe.
No, I like all kinds of literature, from pulp fiction to Gogol. At the moment I'm really fond of Kafka, whose final 'dream-sequence' chapter of 'America' blew me away, and of Georges Simenons so called roman durs, which are his lesser known serious novels (like John Banville says: 'forget about Maigret, get to know his roman durs!'). Dirty Snow, for example, is a fascinating book by Simenon. The train is another one.
Also I've founded a website: www.bookbytes.net
Here you can find lots of book excerpts of +/- 700 words. Everyday it's growing. You can navigate through the website in a youtube-like way. Lot's of video/audio and images included. We've tried to create a 'compact fiction bible' in which all passages of the greatest Western novels are included. All this is a result of my love for fiction.
