There is never going to be a good outcome if someone tries to take revenge. Do you agree? What literature/ real life experiences shows this? If you do not agree, why?

What if your revenge consists of replacing someone's shampoo with honey? That's pretty sweet revenge :)
But yes, literature tends to agree with you. See any revenge tragedy (Spanish tragedy, Titus Andronicus, Hamlet, Count of Monte Crristo...and so forth)

If you execute the revenge and imediately have a chocolate icecream, it is sweet. If you don't execute the revenge and eat the chocolate icecream it is also sweet. Revenge could also be bitter though, if the one who receives your revenge gives you chocolate icecream with almonds but the almonds are arsenic.

In my personal life I find revenge to be very satisfying, but most literary examples tend to propose the idea that revenge is rather bittersweet, and often leads to a tragic outcome in the end.

The Orestia of Aeschylus shows this.

I think the consequences of French Revolution can also count as a good example. A Tale of Two Cities, for instance.
