It is an air of pink and white butterflies
that hops, and hides suddenly--
and hangs loose, and glitters
without pausing in a while,
and looks not back in belief or disgust--
shrinking, with steady relief,
of an august afternoon and
orange peels and saw dust
and plays left,
in the middle.

Not sure I understand the literal situation here but love the happy, hoppy freedom of it expression.

My favorite lines were:
It is an air of pink and white butterflies
that hops, and hides suddenly--
and hangs loose, and glitters
maybe it's the feeling of freedom the other poster was talking about, and maybe also all that movement in the poem, it's like the poem is moving around or something, it's like the phrases of poetry are moving back and forth across the sky.

I like the way you put it... the effect as you have stated, is very much that which was intended...
Thank you :)
