Linguistic Analysis

I need to do a linguistic analysis of a short story and was wondering if anybody can recommend one that they think would be enjoyable to do. So particularly a story where the language really creates a particular emotion or feeling would be much appreciated

The only specific way that I know of for analyzing the language that an author is that which is put forth in the above mentioned book.
