Newbie. Can't find the name of this story!

Hi. I was hoping you can remember the name of this story my son just told me! A man dies and must walk up a mountain to heaven. Along the way a dog joins him and they encounter challenges. Once at heaven he is told e may enter but not the dog cannot enter. He tells them to f### off and heads down the mountain. Then the dog turns into God and the man passed the test and can enter heaven. Any ideas?

It's from the Mahabharata.
Yudhisthina refuses to enter heavn unless his dog can go too. Thus proving his loyalty and passing one of three tests.
The dog then turns into Dharma.
