Note: This is one of the significant poems that Desnos wrote mocking the Nazi's pseudoscientific utterances of objectivism. They eventually cost him his life in a concentration camp.

An 18-meter long ant With a hat on its head That doesn’t exist,
that doesn’t exist.
An ant pulling a cart Full of penguins and ducks That doesn’t exist,
that doesn’t exist.
An ant speaking French, Speaking Latin and Javanese, That doesn’t exist,
that doesn’t exist.
Hey! Why not?

The amount of respect this poem deserves is not even describable in words, it seems incredible simple, yet it is on a level difficult to understand for the common man.
I regard myself as a person that doesn't get easily involved emotionally with art, yet i cried a little when I read this. It's as if i felt the authors message, yet didn't understand it with my mind, but my heart.
It's beautiful, yet sad.
Like live.
