a couple of words
and glances

It is funny because I have just posted a poem called
the colour red
and I saw this as I posted it and I was thinking of composing one called the colour blue.
How weird because your poem also has the colour blue in it.

And just as I was longingly thinking of my country and how I'd love to be there, standing at a stall of one of the many Viennese Christkindlmarkt sipping delicious mulled wine… your poem brought it all back to my mind and heart. And I felt as if I was there… thanks for a quality moment…

I think you are forcing "cup of wine" because you want to pair it with "couple of words" but it doesn't work. Wd drink wine from wine glasses and the oddity of drinking from a cup trips readers and stops the flow of the poem. But then "scarlet red / and warm" makes me think maybe some people do heat up their red wine? Still it's a nice poem with a soft touch in your delivery.

Haunted, I'd love you to come to Vienna one day in wintertime, and we'd have a nice no, not even cup (too small for us Austrian drunkards) but a mug of (mulled) red wine with cinnamon and sugar... See, I wasn't shocked at all by those cups of red wine...
