Hi
I have to come up with a topic to compare these two books for an essay thats due in a few months...
I was thinking of using "time" as a common device that is used by both authors to reveal the state of human nature
Basically, whenever time passes, whenever a character loses track of time, whenever time is mentioned (clock, watch, etc) i will examine what is happening and try to make an over-arching claim
Mainly that human beings are imperfect and that we are selfish and cruel, that we have been this way forever and will be this way for the years to come, no matter how much civilization or "progress" changes our outlook.
Any ideas you guys think i'm missing? Or am i all together barking up the wrong tree?
Thanks a million!!! :)
