Dying Or Rebirth

Oh but a fool
I was
to think for the best
and spread falsehood.

No oceans will flood
this time around,
instead forests will burn
with envy and callous.

But tonight
when my head fell in sleep
I was tapped,
and turned to see no-one.

So is it magic
or hate
that rattles my vacancy
–sending quakes through my spine
and red through heavy eyes?

Is it dying
or rebirth?
