Wearing black
and quoting Borges,
striding through grey rain,
and that song?
it seems familar,
is that Hoyt Axton?
Penny Lane?

I fail to make much sense of this,
I can't guess why I'm here,
so I'll caress my sorrows,
and piss another beer.

This lovely to read.
Borges, magic realism and a Hundred Years of Solitude came to mind.

This is lovely

I fail to make much sense of this,
I can't guess why I'm here,
Thank you for such a lovely read.

Dark poem, with well flowing rhymes. An interesting reading, thanks from Bar

The Borges quote that accompanied me on my walk was "I cannot walk through the suburbs in the solitude of night without thinking that the night pleases us because it supresses idle details, just as our memory does." That is true, even though our lives are built of idle details.
