I want to read a Christmas book this year, never having really read a "seasonal" book before. I will probably read Dickens' A Christmas Carol because it is the only Christmas book I can think of.

Can anyone recommend other good Christmas books? I would not mind expanding my choices.

Also, does anyone else like to read books for certain holidays or times of year? Which ones? Like I said, I myself have never done this before.

I read "The Halloween Tree" most halloweens and "A Christmas Carol" most Christmases.

American Psycho takes place at around Christmas time. I think I can safely say that it embodies the spirit of the season.

All three are relatively short and can ne read before Christmas

1) A Christmas Carol
2) Cricket on the Hearth
3) The Chimes

In fact, all three could be read the week before Christmas.

Thanks, I had never heard of 2 and 3. I think I'm going to give them a shot!
