It's a growing concern
this online literature
of internet health sites
causing a symptomology of
everyday users to see themselves
in a different light.
What crazy self-diagnosis
will they find
based on google results
from search engine signs
that says an itchy bum
is probably bowel cancer?
Caught in the web of cyberchondria,
a state of medical anxiety
where grief that finds no vent
in tears makes other organs weep.

I like your inventiveness here but find the articulation a bit clunky and not quite at the same high level as the rest of your work. But what you said holds true, I've self diagnosed online and going by the result, I should have been 6 foot under by now.

Or straightjacketed symptoms appearing as causes and viceversa.

This is interesting and reminds me when at a very early age I "studied" a health encyclopedia that was at home and diagnosed myself with literally all I was reading! so perhaps it's not just cyberchondria and to see more clearly into our various states and itchy bums, we sometimes need a doctor, whether allopathic or natural. :wink5:
