I received the book when I was 8 years and was in the hospital with a broken leg, it also made me interested in learning english.

I think mine might be "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." I always thought it was nice that the Grinch got a big heart in the end. :)

Happy Birthday to You. I will never forget picking that book up in the library and reading it. It just seemed so wondrous and fantastic. I had never seen anything like it.

Bartholomew and the Oobleck
Something about the dreamlike, bizarre, desperate drama of it captured my mind when I read it and left an impression that was indelible

My dad used to read it to me before he died. He did it in funny voices. I think it helped build my imagination.

Gotta be The Cat in the Hat.
Which is also, incidentally, the most underrated movie of all time. In my humble opinion :)

By far, Green Eggs and Ham, followed very closely by the Lorax.

Fox in Socks is my favorite too! I read to my son when he was little and he laughed every time.

The Cat in the Hats book is an excellent representation of Dr. Seuss' best work. The illustrations are colorful and fun. My four year old daughter loves this book. It would make a great birthday present or special occasion gift because it represents a collector's book.

I love Fox in Sox too. Hop on Pop is a great first book for very young children.

I never liked any of the books. I had never heard of them until I began first grade. Then I heard of Green Eggs and Ham. I remember that just the title made me sick. :puke: I was always the kid who threw up on the school bus on the way to school - (and then all the other kids on the bus screaming, "gross, gross" at me. Aw when I think of it, I have to love my brother Mark, sitting next to me and dying from embarrassment himself but feeling sorry for me, and walking me to the nurse's office when we got to school.)
