They said we matter most
when we feel we never did
they send us nerves of steel
in hopes we don't give in

though rested in our hearts
laid is cancer's egg
so perched upon our tomb
we cry and scream and beg

but dreaming purple seas
while climbing trees of red
we laugh upon the thought
of bodies berried dead

and loveless as we feel
alone and short of breath
we find ourselves attached
in solace not of death

For a century friends
In a second foes
Like a dinky toy
Friendship goes.

The rhymes in this do you no favours - check out verse 2 which doesn't make that much sense by the time we get to the closing line.

Same goes for mazHur's epilogue - great opening 2 lines followed by a very weak ending.

What i meant to say was that friendship takes a long time to build but it takes a second to break. Next line was meant to convey the meaning that friendship is like a dinky toy, a car probably, that runs some distance and then stops.

I dunno but I may have missed the difference between 'ghosts' and 'goats' :)
